New Technology Can Turn Your Car Into a Hybrid!

Mechanical engineer Ulrik Poulsen has developed a simple yet ingenious technology that allows you to transform your ordinary gasoline-powered car into a half gas, half electric hybrid. This is accomplished by bolting motors onto the un-powered wheels and connecting them to a large battery stored inside the car. The motors assist the car's engine in powering the car, and the batteries are charged using regenerative breaking.

Merry Christmas!

My parents told me that I am reaching the age where presents aren't that important so I got very little for Christmas this year (my dad said it was because of the recession). But what I got was still pretty freaking awesome. Here's the list:

Club Room Moccasins
Tamarac Deerskin Moccasins
Creative Noise Isolating Headphones
And the best of all: a Schrute Farms Beets Long Sleeve T-Shirt!

Both of the moccasins are plush and so comfortable. The headphones are quite nice for the price. They fit perfectly into my ears and after about 5 minutes I forget that I still am wearing them. The sound isolation works great, and the lows and highs both come through in the sound very well.

All in all, a good holiday.

Seems House!!! Mons D!!

Posting live from Seems House! Commander D Head himself has granted me permission to operate his MacBook Pro and post some fascinating stuff. Seems has been composing some interesting music while taking his winter leave from college. They are creative mixes of two or more songs that blend pretty well for some homemade compositions. I'm hosting three sample songs as I type this. Just click the links to listen in!!!

Ms. Officer mixed with Magic Castles

Change Clothes mixed with Tear Drop

How Not to Melt Ice at Your House

A man residing in New Bedford, Massachusetts tried to melt ice off his back porch using a blowtorch hooked up to his 20 lb propane tank. He proceeded to get too close to the structure with the 2820 °C flame and did some significant damage to his house. Over $30000 dollars worth of damage in fact. Honestly what could you be thinking to go through with such a stupid decision?

"I guess it would be ok to use a scathing hot, flaming tool that can be used to melt and cut metal right next to my uninsulated, highly flammable house.................."

The Year 2008 In Photographs. EPIC!

I have been reading (well looking at) this blog called The Big Picture for a good while now. Its updated periodically by the Boston Globe Newspaper, and it is a compilation of all different high-res photos from the associated press. Usually each post has a common theme and the last 3 days have been The Year 2008 In Photographs.

These photo albums and captions are epic! Some pictures are just friggen sweet and others are really heart wrenching. I could research for hours about each photo. Anyway check out all 3 sections because every photo is tits. The links are after this example of how crazy these photos are:

"Maasai warriors cover a battle field as they clash with bows and arrows with members of the Kalenjin tribe in the Kapune hill overlooking the Olmelil valley located in the Transmara District in Western Kenya on March 01, 2008. The Massai, the Kalenjin and the Kisii tribes have recently clashed over ongoing land disputes that erupted after botched local elections during the general elections held in Kenya in December of 2007. Over twenty warriors from the tribes have been killed in bow and arrow battles near the borders of these tribes in the last couple of months. (Yasuyoshi Chiba/AFP/Getty Images)"

There are still bow and arrow battles being fought. Wow.

Too Soon? Ask Zain!

I was looking for some Christmas presents for my sister and I came across this absurd nine eleven plush doll.

Incredibly Sick?
Yes.

Incredibly Funny?
Yes.

Blogging!

Klauss B Larson is Blogging!? Yup! I have always wondered what it would be like to have a blog and use it as a place where I could share cool information and stories. Being bored at work today I have decided to start my own so here goes nothing: (hopefully I can stay committed to this)

So, this is what I want this blog to be. I want to have a place where I can share interesting shit with my friends and other interested people and also tell great stories from college etc. I will be posting about everything from all types of media to sports to random stuff that I found on the internet. I could be reviewing a new movie I just saw, or showing you some dope shoes I just found on sale. Everything will be interesting though (I hope)
If any of you D-Squad guys want to be able to post random or cool shit tell me, and I'll give you the ability to post whatever whenever.

A little about me: I am a Lehigh Undergrad in computer engineering and if all goes well hopefully I will be able to focus my major in the field of video game design. I enjoy playing and watching sports, I am an avid computer nerd, and of course I like getting fucked up :).

Thats the first post! Nothing interesting. Just a blueprint of what is to come.

Please post comments and give me feedback so I can make this a fun site to visit and so that you guys will come back. If you want to be able to post tell me and I'll pass my superior judgment and tell you if you are worthy or not.
